Message specialize in these types of materials and arguments. The welds can "look" nice, but what can you see microscopically? You can't. If you ever get a defective one, or want to sacrifice one to me; or a part of one, I would be happy to do a chemical and microstructural analysis on it to prove my point. Keep that in mind, please.

I wouldn't try to argue with you the correct procedure for doing a turbo swap, or tuning a car, as that is YOUR field and I have limited experience. Learn from this metaphor.
